First, You Need a Computer
Computer
Make that a Windows computer running 32-bit Windows:
That's Windows 98, Windows NT, Windows 2000, or
Windows XP. Some (later) versions of Windows 95
will work and some (earlier)versions won't.
CD-ROM
If you order the CD from us, you will need a CD-ROM
drive to install the software. If you buy on-line
from an electronic distributor, you won't.
Disk
The program is big, allow about 75 megabytes of
disk space for the program and all its help files,
dattabases, and backups.
Main Memory (RAM)
The program is big, you should have this much RAM for
good results:
- Windows 98 -- 64 MB
- Windows NT -- 128 MB
- Windows 2000 -- 192 MB
- Windows XP -- 256 MB
Of course, that varies depending on what other software is
running on your computer. The program will probably work
on Windows 2000 and Windows XP computers with 128 megabytes,
but computers with these operating systems should have more
memory to work smoothly.
Screen
Study Star will run on a 640 x 480 screen, but 800 x 600 is
almost certainly much better.
